How To Match My Violin’s Pegs With Thier Respective Holes?
Help! I was cleaning my violin, & i removes the pegs without labeling them…stupid, i know. Now i don’t know which peg goes in which hole. What do I do? Can i just put them back without worrying, or do I need a professional?
How Are Violin Pegs Supposed To Look Like?
I just started playing the violin & I don’t really know what’s what.
So I bought a violin online & the pegs aren’t fully pushed in to the other side, & it slips. Is it supposed to be fully pushed in? And does it slip because it’s not fully in? I get really frustrated when it’s out of tune. If possible, please also add some pictures of how the peg box is supposed to look like.
How Am I Supposed To Get A Sound Out Of A Brand New Violin?
Just this week I bought a Gliga III violin, I’ve never played violin before & though my experience with a variety of other instruments would have left me with enough intuition to teach myself, turns out i was pretty wrong. I can’t get a single sound out of it.
I have no idea how to set it up – though the bridge is already on, so I don’t need to worry about that atleast – & have a few questions about setting it up
-How taut / tight should the strings be? I will tune them to a piano, I just don’t know how tight I should get them or how tight I can safely get them.
-How do I use the tuning mechanisms on a violin? It has large ivory tuning pegs like a guitar, & smaller ones on the piece below the bridge that I cannot really feel doing anything when I turn them.
-How tight should my bow be?
With those questions aside, if it isn’t one of those factors that is causing me to be unable to get a single sound out of my violin then I would love to know what is.
Many thanks in advance, all help is greatly appreciated.
Violin Help? Fallen Bridge And Trouble With Strings?
(heads up, im not a very good player)
I have read advice on how to fix a fallen bridge, & I would rather do this myself rather than have to bring it to someone to get it fixed.
However, the reason it broke was because I tried tightening the pegs because my strings were flat & the pressure made the bridge fall off. I wonder why the strings were so tight & yet still slightly flat?
And at the top where the strings go round the pegs they are not exactly…how do I put this…on each string, when it curls around the peg, each curl isnt next to eachother…the string sometimes curls on top of itself..if you get what im trying to say??? lol
anyway, im useless at violin but i really need to get this fixed before my lesson
What Is My Violin Worth?
I own a 3/4 1969 copy of an Antonio Stradivarius, made by Kiso Suzuki co. It has a wooden finger board & has an olive tone to it, with a fade to a dark wash in the middle. It has heart shaped wooden pegs with little cream nubs at the end.
Specialized Gutiar?
So I’m trying to build my dream guitar but does this all sound like too much to fit into one guitar (I understand that it would probably be cheaper to eliminate national debt than build this guitar)
Violin Shaped Hollow Body
Violin shaped headstock, with big bass pegs (for better emulation)
Classical sized neck, scalloped frets, (neck completely black)
Not quite sure about pickups yet, will take a lot of time to decide
No pickguard
Wooden block in center (to reduce feedback typically found in semihollows)
12 string
do I dare ask for more?
How Can I Get My Violin To Tune?

iii. linear density(when L & T are constant)
(b)The pitch of a note (how high or low the note sounds) is determined by the frequency f. (the higher the frequency, the higher the pitch).
Use the signs of the derivatives in part (a) to determine what happens to the pitch of a note (i)when the effective length of the string is decreased by placing a finger on the string so a shorter portion of the string vibrates. (ii)when the tension is increased by turning the tuning peg, (iii) when the linear density is increased by switching to another string.

How Often Clean Rosin From Strings Instrument? Help Please?
As in bow strings violin & viola?
Oh & why?
Please give websites I can use to find answers to these questions.
I really need this.
What items would you use to clean your violin, & how would they be used?
How often should you clean rosin from your instrument? Why?
When should peg paste be used?
When should you use graphite be used & where? What benefit does using graphite have?
When should oil be used & how often?
What is the purpose of using a cleaner or oil? What problems can be created if you use polish or oil too much?
PLEASE. I REALLY NEED THIS.
Any Ideas?
I have a Franz Werner Virtuoso violin, that I’ve had for about 6 months now. On Thursday, I noticed that the E string peg was slipping a bit, but I tuned it, & it was fine. But, by Friday, it was slipping constantly. It got to the point at which I could tune it, then start the bow at the frog, & by the time it reached the tip, it would be completely out of tune.
I’ve tried peg drops, & they’re not helping much. This has happened before, but the person that usually knows how to deal with it is currently out of town.
Unfortunately, I have rehearsals beginning Monday, that I must be present at, & must play at, otherwise, I’ll be kicked from the show.
Any ideas??

Remove Fine Tuners??
My violin has 4 fine tuners. Its this one exactly.http://www.theyellowtags.com/cecilio-cvn…
I want to know if I can take out 3 fine tuners. My teacher just uses the pegs to tune & lets me use the fine tuners but he taught me to just use the pegs. I don’t want to get another violin.
I was supposed to get a Concert Violin but with money saved I couldn’t & it did seemed hand carved. This is my 3rd violin. I’m an Intermediate violin. I practice everyday for an hour. So should I take out the fine tuners or keep them? If I take them out, is this violin capable of being played still?
