Violin Answers

I recently bought new strings & the sound is getting better, but I still have a slight pintched tone. I also bought a new bow that is made of real mongolian horsehair. The bow I am using now is synthetic hair. Do you think that the pintched sound is from the bow? I am also switching the rosin from light to dark. I know how my notes are supposed to sound, I’m just trying to reach that sound.

why is it that when i play in the middle of the bridge of the violin the tone isn’t that nice, it kinda makes a whistling sound. That’s why i play near the fingerboard..

i don’t know if i am just bad at it or if it’s my bow, violin, or strings; but does any one know how to improve the tone?
And if anyone new the right type of bow to use. (lengh) Mine is a 1/2 i think…20-25″?

I have recently been planning to play the violin again, it was about 1 & a half years ago since I quitted my lessons. I started playing at 14 im now 16. I really love playin it & im thinking that my love for it has no use if i can’t play even play it beautifully beacuse it would be a waste of time & money. Do i still have a chance of producing a beautifull tone ang creating beautifull music?
