Violin Answers

I heard & saw a video last year of an incredible violin player.
He could play every type of film music, rock music,… with his violin.
I saw he sold his own music cd & he did a website but i forgot to put it on my favorite websites.
Somebody can help me?

Does anyone know some sites for violin sheet music (free\pay) covering some rock\punk hits?
I like metallica, tantric, all that remains, NFG, AFI, senses fail, narziss, slayer, kittie, fall out boy (old stuff of course), rise against, coheed & cambria, & a day to remember (just to name a few bands that I listen to).
If someone suggests where I can find coldplay or some **** like that, I’ll be forced to haunt you for the rest of eternity (considering I’ll probably kill myself).
Any help would be awesome!

My friend just got another violin (he’s been playing since he was in like 4th grade) & he asked me if I knew any good rock songs that he can play on his violin. I couldnt think of any music that has violin in it except for small pieces like panic! at the disco or fall out boy (which really are really like poprock)but wanted it to be a whole song, oh & I already thought of apocalyptica, but they mostly use cello (at least thats what he said) but basically anything like three days grace, disturbed, breaking benjamin, the used, or mcr that he could get violin sheet music for would be great. thanks guys <3

I heard a song on the radio a while ago & I was wondering what the name of it was!
It was on x101.5 Tallahassee & it was pretty heavy riffs with mixed violin & electric guitar.

I was wondering if anyone had 1st violin Cannon Rock sheet music

i saw somewhere on here that someone said pianotabs.com but i dont know where to go from there… please help! i am performing this with a band.

I heard it in the 80’s, the guy plays real fast like Joe Satriani & makes an electric violin sound just like an electric guitar, pretty awesome. ANY information will be appreciated, as I don’t know how else to find out who he is. Thought someone else might know,
Alls I remember, is the guy had kindof an odd sounding name & there was a picture of him on the front holding the violin, that’s all the info I have, If nobody knows, how can I find out what the guy’s name is? Is there a site to do music searches & listen to samples?

I play violin & electric guitar.
Ive been playing violin for like 7 years & I don’t practice much because all the solos for it are ****.
I like electric guitar & practice like 6 hours a day because the songs i play on it I actually LISTEN to.
I like Thrice, Muse & Lately I’ve been learning a song by Billy Talent “Pins & Needles” (I think its by billy talent…?)
I have lessons for both so I’m not self taught, & I’ll only practice when I enjoy what I’m doing.
Like if I were to play piano I would learn songs like Fur Elise & tunes everybody knows. But for violin… wtf theres nothing like that.
So can anyone suggest some stuff?
and where can I get the sheet music? (Preferably free)
I Have Sibelius in case there is somewhere i can download Sibelius files.

‘Tantric’ is the band & the song is ‘down & out’

I know there are Mark Wood violins that create a rock sound nothing liek a guitar but they are a bit pricey? Is there any other electric violin i could get the same sound from at a cheaper price
