Violin Answers

Hi!
Im a violinist & have been for a good 14 years ( i started when i was 4 ) I have found the best way to do it is to get a piano part, which are relativlely easy to find, & then learn a violin part by ear, adding harmonies just by improvising, it is much easier than spending hours looking through google!

I’m 15. I haven’t even touched a piano in 5 years & I only got a few months of actual learning with is practically nothing now. Also, I didn’t even like pianos first. I tried the guitar 4 years ago, too. But, with only a few months of playing, I gave up. I feel like I selfishly wasted my life on video games & tv. Now, I want to try it again. I already have an upright piano in storage. Also, I want to get violin. I don’t really like holding the guitar, & that’s sort of why I don’t play it. I realize that learning to play even 1 instrument takes time. Do you think that this is possible?

I don’t really care about how hard it is to learn but go for it anyways.
I’m thinking of learning the piano first cause i want to replay some songs that like such as moonlight sonata movement 1.
I’m probably not going to learn these until i finish some stuff that i got to do such as school, working out for a sport team, Study hard, homework, etc etc. so in about 3 years of high school.

I am a violin teacher that is switching to digital so i dont have to worry about tuning. I want a black polished attractive digital piano without a ton of bells & whistles. Price range between $1000-2000. I’d like a few recording tracts, a metronome, & to be able to change the brilliance of the sound.

Sometimes when I do “hard-core” intense practice
on the piano & the violin, my right wrist would hurt.
How to avoid this?
Any good exercise to do before instrument playing?

I’m really eager to learn how to play the Violin (or Viola) & the Piano despite not knowing how to read music…

I played piano for some years as a child, but never enjoyed it.
I’ve always wanted to learn to play the violin, & now am realizing that now is as good a time as any.
However, Ive been told by a violinist that it is important to at least become proficent on the piano first. Is this true?

Hi. I’m looking for some Jazz sheet music for violin with piano accompagnament. Is there any hope for me? I would like something free, downloadable & in PDF or JPEG format. I know the violin isn’t very popular in Jazz, but it used to be a common instrument in Jazz bands. Please help.

Which would you rather play in front of an audience?

I used to take violin lessons, & my teacher was able to instandly get sheet music for anything just by an audio file. Please help me. I don’t mind some good FREE piano sheet music websites. I just really want a software (free) that can get me any piano sheet music.

I’ve been playing the guitar for 2 years now & love it all the way been playing fingerstyle & classical pieces. But most of the songs i learnt are by tabs =.= although I know how to read notations (not fluently) but when theres a tab i’ll be playing the tabs instead the notes.
So a suggestion was given to me, pick up another instrument. So I think I have to choose either the violin(string family) or the piano. So mind giving me ur opinions should i go for the strings or the piano?
I also have love for the string instrument as it can make a sweet & melodic tunes for pop musics.
p.s. I have a piano in my house but no one plays it, sometimes i do.
