Is It Possible To Teach Oneself To Play The Violin?
I’ve played piano for seven-eight years, so I do come from a musical background. I can read sheet music easily, but can also play by ear. The challenge would be mastering violin technique & fingering, et all.
Is it possible to do this without a teacher? I just can’t afford one. I don’t necessarily want to play Bach or Vivaldi – I’d like to play some of those gorgeous old Irish folk pieces.
