Violin Answers

-am 14yrs old & want to know how 2 play the violin..i have one..

I want to play the violin but I would rather try it before I buy one. Where can some one teach me the basics & let me try out one near Baytown or Channelview?

I have been playing violin for 12 years. I love playing violin, & love teaching people ……and would love a little extra $$$

i taught my sister’s friend violin for about an hour & it went pretty well. she said i was a good teacher. i was wondering if i could teach part-time as an official instructor without having to go through training & stuff like that. just essential elements & suzuki book 1 & personal input & stuff like that? btw im 16 & been playing 4 almost 8 years so its not like im immature to teach little kids…

I’m hopefully beginning violin lessons at school soon, probably in two to eight weeks time. I’m fifteen & can read music, fluently on the treble clef but not so well on the bass clef. I am a self taught piano player but am roughly grade two or three standard, & am just beginning guitar. I’m just wondering if there is anything I can do to prepare myself before hand? For example, looking at violin sheet music, practicing guitar for the fingering, anything like that?
Any help would be much appreciated.

i was considering taking violin lessons there because their lessons price were much cheaper. 20-25 dollars for each half hour.
have anyone ever been taught there?
is it a good idea?

I was learning the guitar today, i’m not pro or anything, but i’m getting there.I had this violin in my closet for like 3-4 years. My cousin’s uncle had tuned it. I do not want to pay for lessons now. I want to learn Twinkle twinkle little star as a beginner? Here are the tabs or w.e I got… I learned guitar tabs by my friend putting them into numbers.. For each string like this
bottom string(thickest) & so on
1. 0–5-5-4- & so on
2. 2-3-3-2-3-3- etC
3. 5-4-2-5-5-3-3-3- ya know. i was learning stand by me – ben e king on guitar.
i can’t quite find them. :S anyways,
is it possible to translate them into numbers?

Does anyone know where I can get info on average private music lesson pricing nationwide?

I’ve been playing violin for close to three years now. I want to improve & I think that getting a teacher might help, but all the places I go to seem like they only offer lessons to new players.

I saw this guy play an electric violin & i thought it was beautiful.
I have no experience & have no clue about them…
any tips suggestions..

Is rathfarnham school of music a good place to get violin lessons for a beginner?? or is there anywhere else in the rathfarnham area to get lessons?? (preferably private lessons)

hey, i have an electric guitar & a violin, my parents have given me the choice to get lessons for one of them, but which to pick! which would you choose?

I am a 14 year old that plays the piano & the clarinet, & now I would like to start playing the violin. Will it be hard to play considering I am starting a little later? Will my previous musical background help me? Where can I find a violin & a teacher?

do you think its possible to learn to play violin without actually having lessons
i know of some people who have learned instruments with books like guitars so is it possible? also, are there any good books for beginners to learn without lessons?
