Depressing Violin Musical Composition Like Lestat’s In Queen Of The Damned?

Hey, I’m looking for classical music, like the violin parts played by lestat in the film Queen of the damned.
You know, i find them like depressing, & right now i’m looking for depressing stuff.
Well tell me if you know anything similar, depressing classical music, especially with strings. And if you know where to get them, thats most welcomed.

Adagio for Strings. Youtube it, so touching.
Also Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is also very emotionally complex, & you might like that aswell (thought it’s for piano).

I wouldn’t quite call that particular music depressing. To me, its a style of gypsy music. It makes use of a particular scale unlike most “traditional” classical music. If you are looking to find more of the style of Letat’s violin solo, look up some Gypsy solo books (it might be a little hard to find, but they are out there!).
If you are looking for some of the truly depressing music, one of my absolute favorites is Beethoven’s Symphony no.7, 2nd movement. This movement is one of the reasons I have been playing violin for 13 years & am in my senior year studying Music Education.
Another amazing composer is Chopin. My uncle is a semi-professional player & piano tuner, & Chopin is his favorite, for good reason! Watch the movie “The Pianist”. It’s set to Chopin works that will blow your mind with their passion & emotion.
If you want something a little more modern (and atonal), try Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire (Nacht). It uses a technique known as “sprechstimme” (inbetween singing & speaking). This is just creepy. You could also try Berg’s “Wozzeck”. This is about a man who slowly goes insane.
I hope this is a decent list for you! Beethoven would be considered your “traditional” classical composer, but Berg & Schoenberg are a little out of the ordinary for most people.
