I found a cello on eBay with a free violin & after seeing the price I wasn’t too positive about buying it. I know nothing about pricing for these instruments & I wanted to buy them for a while & these would be my first so I wanted to ask some people who were experienced with them.

I’m looking for a rock-metal song.
I THINK it’s pretty new.
It has no lyrics.
The begining is just an electric violin, then is joined with a guitar/drums/etc
the whole time the violin is repating the same thing in the background..
I’ve gone crazy trying to find the name of thi song.

Ok, I have been playing violin for..eh.. about 2 1/2 months. I do enjoy it, I am pretty good at it, but then came the viola. I’ve always loved deeper music, lower notes. I saw the viola & thought it would be perfect for me. Is this too hard to try, or should I do it now before I get really good at violin?

Did that guy from Norway playing the violin, break the bow, lol. I could just see strings flying about!

It’s my first time & I have no instructions. I’ve tried rosining the heck out of it, loosening & tightening the strings, more or less pressure on the bow. What am I doing wrong?

Would like to know the name of the tune or where I can find the sheet music for it on violin.

I’ve always really liked the fiddle, probably my favorite instrument to listen to. But i can’t stamd it when i hear it played like a violin. And i been thinking about learning to play one, is it hard to learn to play on a busy schedule?

I’m entering this competition in January, & my sound is all wrong. I am playing Bach Concerto in E Major. It’s supposed to sound smooth & wonderful, but when I play it, my sound comes out rough & crooked. When I listen to professional violinists play, such as Joshua Bell or Sarah Chang, their sound comes smoothly. Is it becuase I am pressing too hard, or using not enough bow? I need advise to make my violin sound strong, powerful, & smooth, instead of making in rough, & hard.

#1. Find rate of change of f with respect to: a) the length (when T & P are constant), b) the tension (when T & P are constant), c) the linear density (when T & P are density)

b) when the tension is increased by turning a tuning peg
c) when the linear density is increased by switching to another string

It is a new tune that it plays a violin almost the entire song, & has Martin Luther King Jr. going off in the back ground

3 months ago, I received a gift from my partner for my electric violin. It is a Behringer Tube Ultragrain MIC100
I have not used this most of the tinme since I am not a technical person even after reading the manual plus the technicians who mixes the sound find the instructions difficult to comprehend.
My questions are:
1.) How do we make the most of this MIC100- I mean what are the recommended settings?
2.) Is MIC100 can be REALLY used for electric violin?
3.) DO I have to purchase another set of cables? If yes can you recommend what types?

I have been playing the violin for 6 years now & I want to purchase a new violin. I already have one now but its more of a beginner violin. Although I have only been playing for 6 years I am a really good player. But because I’ve only been playing for 6 years I don’t think I should spend a drastic amount for the violin. So how much should I invest into a new violin?

wel, i’m totally new to both violin & western music
i’m just learning everything
so i found this violin finger board chart & also have a music sheet (of twinkle twinkle little star)
now i have a doubt…
same note could be played in different strings(which gives off completely different tones), & it just seemed wrong to play the way i want
for example i can play ‘B’ in both G & A string which gives off completely different tones
is there a rule as such stating i should be using certain string
i hope the question is clear
i’m sooo confused!!!!
